15 Madison Square North

15 Madison Square North

Overview

The top twelve floors of this neo-classical building have been converted to condos by development firm Walter and Samuels, who have another conversion project located around the corner at 186 Fifth Avenue. The lower 8 floors at 15 Madison Square North will remain commercial. The building, which is predominately beige brick (with limestone base) had a façade makeover in the mid 90’s to restore some of the original decorative beauty. 15 Madison Square North joins The Grand Madison (225 Fifth Avenue) in an attempt to re-create grand pre-war spaces facing the rejuvenated 6-acre park. The architect for the project is Daniel Goldner (45 John St, 350 West 23rd St, 163 Charles St) and the interior designs are by Nathan Egan (Thompson Hotel). (more…)
