Overview

Nestled on 17th street between 7th and 8th avenues, 246 West 17th has a quieter and more relaxed feel to it than many of its Chelsea counterparts. The building features 34 units in one, two or three bedroom layouts. The building used to be a brick garage that was built in 1925, (first three floors still are garage stpace). Everything from the 4th floor up is new construction. The ten-story structure does not try to reinvent the block; rather it fits right in, which I think will be an asset for the building and the block in years to come. (more…)
