Designed in 1929 by Lafayette Goldstone, Greenwich Club’s art deco façade boasts beige brick and terra cotta accents with a base of black granite. The building, which was erected as an office building and was converted to a designer residential building in 2007, stretches 37 stories high. It offers 458 apartments and is located just steps from Wall Street and the famous Trinity Church. Architect Ismael Leyva oversaw the conversion from office building to residential apartments, under which residents can choose from three different apartment designs. All residences have been redone with high-end finishes and appliances, with 10’6” high ceilings and oversized windows, which offer sweeping water views. Greenwich Club also boasts a bevy of luxury amenities, including a billiards lounge, library, full-service fitness center and café.

Units and Pricing

There are currently 20 homes available for sale at the Greenwich Club, and another 30 are available for rent. Of the twenty homes available for sale, the smallest is a 532 square foot studio, which is listed for a mere $474k; a larger studio is listed for $615k. One bedrooms start at $619k and go up to $965k, while two bedrooms start at $1.3M and go up to $4.5M for a penthouse unit.

In terms of rentals, a 508 square foot studio, which is the one of the smallest units available for rent, is going for $2,100/month, while a similarly sized studio is listed at $2,300/month. One bedrooms start at $2,650/month and go up to $3,850. A two bedroom, 1,000 square foot rental is listed for $4,995 per month; a slightly larger two-bedroom unit is listed at $6,500. The highest priced rental is a two bedroom for $7,000/month.

The average price per square foot for the sales listings at Greenwich Club is $1,057, while the average price per square foot for the rentals is a mere $54. Previous sales listings went for a slightly higher $1,115 per square foot.

As mentioned above, residents at Greenwich Club can chose from three different apartment designs. All apartments feature high-end finishes, high ceilings and oversized windows. Every apartment entrance has an East Indian rosewood surround, hanging wall sconce and custom designed doorplate. Kitchens including Sub-Zero refrigerators, Fisher & Paykel dishwashers and Viking ranges. Bathrooms and kitchens have ceiling speakers, which are wired to the in wall i-Pod port.

The three apartment designs: Hudson, which has teak kitchen cabinetry with Siberian marble countertops and Italian Vanilla marble countertops and Mayorca limestone bathroom flooring; The Greenwich, which has white oak kitchen cabinetry, Pietra Carnico lava stone countertops, Mont Blanc glass composite countertops in the baths, which have Sierra Negra lava stone floors; and The Exchange, which has American walnut kitchen cabinetry, Mont Blanc glass composite kitchen countertops and the baths have Himalayan Silk marble countertops and Basalto di Pompei lava stone floors. All bathrooms have overhead rain showers and Kohler soaking tubs.

Amenities at Greenwich Club include a concierge, a valet service, maid service, café with complimentary breakfast, a library with a grand piano and fireplace, a billiards lounge, a resident dining room, a fitness center with complimentary yoga and Pilates classes, a 24^th floor lounge and a roof deck that overlooks the New York Harbour, as well as a landscaped courtyard.

Location

Greenwich Club is located at 88 Greenwich Street in the Financial District, a recently revitalized neighborhood that boasts a great deal of luxury condominium residences. The Wall Street area offers a bevy of transportation options, so residents at the Greenwich Club can get uptown easily. As the Financial District is still a growing community, things tend to shut down at night, making for a quiet living location.
