Overview

Most New Yorkers have at least heard of the Essex House. If not because it’s a huge and famous hotel on Central Park South, perhaps because of the offensively large sign perched on the roof which they’ve observed from any number of skyline views. The hotel tower was built in 1930 and converted to a condominium in 1974. While they exterior of the building isn’t exactly beautiful, the interior spaces, including a lavish lobby, are incredible.
