Overview

After my research on the Centurion, I decided to poke around midtown for a little while and see what else is out there. I found Park Avenue Place, a tall and thin condominium which is already fully constructed. The sheer height and high-floor setbacks remind me a bit of the Ariel Condominiums on west 99th street. The location (55th btw Park and Mad) is interesting, perhaps appealing if you’re an office tower (like the brand new 545 Madison going up next door) but it didn’t feel right to me as a place to keep my primary residence. That being said, the glass is pretty and it fits in with the block rather well. (more…)
