I’m glad I walked on 81st Street today between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. I stumbled into two new condo projects, both somewhat unique to the market. 215 is closer to 3rd Avenue and comprised solely of duplex apartments (thus the building’s name). By duplex, I don’t mean two full floors, I mean 1-bedroom apartments where the living and bedroom are above and below each other rather than side by side. It’s a fun design and the more I think about how these apartments are divided up, the more I like it. How many duplex aparments have you owned in Manhattan? (more…)
