Overview

The Verde Chelsea is a thirty-three-unit condo on 22nd street btw sixth and seventh avenues. Experienced high-rise architect H. Thomas O’Hara designed the unique project. The building has dubbed itself the “hanging gardens of 22nd street” due to the design, which incorporates multiple garden terraces to give the building a plant-drenched look. Originally, the Verde was to house more two-bedroom units, but when the developers (Basile Builders) did some demographic studies, they reconfigured the plans to accommodate more one bedrooms and a few three-bedroom units as well.
