Response to Top 100 List Comments

Thanks to all the Curbed readers who have landed here to view our top 100 condos list. I read a number of interesting comments on Curbed and would like to point out a few things.

As our disclaimer explains, this list is comprised of buildings we’ve already covered and are all very new. Plenty of great projects such as Beacon Court aren’t there because they were fully sold out at the time we visited. Our blog functions as a buyer’s reference and we try to analyze the prices and features of available apartments.

A few other notes:

1- Beacon Court would have been in one of the top 5 slots had it not opened in 2005.
2- We have included a few condops because condo buyers often view condops as well.
3- Jumeirah Essex House got a C+ on investment potential because our readers who went on showings all had a similarly bad reaction stemming from high carrying costs, small floorplans and the smell of horse waste.
4- Manhattan House may be a typical looking 1950′s white brick building but the conversion is really nice–as is the sales presentation.
5- We are working on more downtown coverage. Tribeca has a ton of interesting projects in the works.
